HOW TO PAINT THE INTERIOR OF YOUR HOME

A/C FILTER REPLACEMENT

Check the filter at least once a month and replace if dirty. A clogged filter restricts the flow of air and consequently the efficiency of the unit.

WASHER AND DRYER MAINTENANCE

Check the lint trap at least once a month and clean with mild soap & water if dirty. A clogged lint trap restricts the flow of air and can create a fire.

When not using washer, shut off valves to prevent your hoses from rupturing.

SECURITY

When going on vacation contact the management and give them an emergency number and provide a key to gain access to your unit in case of an emergency (if your key is different from the buildings master keys).

SMOKE ALARMS
  • Install smoke alarms on the ceiling or high on a wall.
  • Change your battery twice a year (tip: at daylight savings time).
  • Vacuum and smoke test your alarms twice a year.
  • U.L.C. recommends units older than 8-10 years should be replaced with new ones.
  • Have a home fire escape plan that everyone living in your home is familiar with. Check your building for the fire escape plan.
